Sarah's Irish Tallit

Sarah's words: I knew the moment I converted to Judaism 9 years ago, I wanted to commission a tallit to be made that represented my family's heritage. The tallit is made with my grandmother's O'Bryan tartan. Two of the corners are adorned with the Star of David and the Hebrew Chai. The other two corners are adorned with a Tudor rose flower to represent England-the country my grandmother is from. Those two corners have the Hebrew word hineni.

Maxwell S.'s Tallit

Max and his grandparents spent an afternoon here, designing his stunning tallit. He wanted a deep teal dupioni silk for the body, and then designed a scene with a sun setting on a beautiful sky, with golden mountains and palm trees. He chose deep jewel colors. His atarah and corners were white on the deep red, embroidered with metallic gold thread. His middle name being Leo, called for the lion, and as he was born on the 6th night of Chanukah, chose to have a chanukiah with 6 candles on another corner.

Sadie wanted a simple sheer white tallit, but like her twin brother Ari, decorated it with 8 meaningful and stunning corners and atarah. She chose lavender on light green dupioni silk, with mostly gold thread lettering and designs. She chose a chamsa, tree of life, crown with her Hebrew name Sara, musical notes, a siamese cat, a freestyle skier, the lighthouse where the family spends summers, and a note from her parents.
