Ari's Tallit

By Sharon Landecker on Apr 26, 2017 in Specialty Fabric Tallitot

Ari wanted a white tallit, but with character. He chose a gorgeous Dupioni silk from Cambodia that had a stripe already woven into the fabric. All it needed was atarah and corners. Ari designed double red on black dupioni silk corners and atarah with gold and black thread lettering and designs. It is a very striking combination.

He and his twin sister Sadie, had 8 corners, so 4 on the front and 4 on the back so they could have several representations of what is meaningful to them in their lives.

Ari's corners included a beautiful lion head for Areyeh, his Hebrew name, a tree of life, musical notes, his siamese cat, a lighthouse where his family spends their summers, a freestyle skier, soccer ball, and a note from his parents.
