Sabina's Golden Vine tallit

By Sharon Landecker on Mar 18, 2019 in Custom Traditional Designs

Three generations (Sabina, her mom, and her grandparents) came to design Sabina's L'dor va dor tallit. She chose a beautiful off white silk for the body, and a rose dupioni silk with wine dupioni silk borders for the stripes, atarah and corners. A soft gold metallic thread was used to embroider vines on the middle stripe and on the ends of the atarah. Sabina's corners had her name, a love note from her Baba and Dede - in their signatures, a tree of life and a matryoshka (Russian stacking) doll. The atarah had L'dor va dor in Hebrew and English.
