Talia's Miriam Tallit

By Sharon Landecker on Mar 26, 2011 in Custom Scene Designs

Talia had a definite idea of what she wanted on her tallit. Her parsha was about Miriam, and she wanted Miriam on her tallit. She brought me a book with beautiful illustrations, and I used it as a guide to create her Miriam. The body of the tallit is a cream colored dupioni silk. The silk and cotton batik stripes are wavy, to represent the Red Sea.   Miriam was created from silks and yarn for her hair. She has a beaded necklace, too. I have way too many photos to include all of them, but I did include a few to show the process of creating this amazing tallit.
